Baby Cafe

Hi my name is Margaret and I am the Designer and Creator of the Baby Café and Baby Burper.

My children were all breast fed, two boys till they weaned themselves around seven months and a daughter who just refused to take anything else. She was 14 months when I called a halt to her diving down my shirt saying TUCK (“Do you want Tuck In?” which is what I would say at feeding time). Breast feeding for me was a real joy.

My mother taught me to sew and my creative streak was off and running. In the last few years I have been creating and making Special Event clothing for clients. I am also very practical, so not only do I like creating but my underlying desire is that it does the job well for which it was made. So with those thoughts in mind the Baby Café was born.

I JUST LOVE FABRIC! Beautiful fine cottons, so cool and easy to wear. Living in the tropics that is essential, so the Baby Café had to be cool, classy and easy to use. It also had to work well. The hand dyed 100% fine cottons were perfect choice and the bonus is they are also reversible. (The same colour on either side). I also found some fine, embossed, 100% cotton fabric in a natural shade which I have added to the available fabric choices. (Very exciting for a fabric lover like me.) I am always on the look out for suitable fabric designs and colours for our beautiful Baby Cafés.
